Volunteer

What they do:

• Assist the priest on the altar during our Mass worship services:
  • Carrying the processional cross/candles
  • Hold the book, ring the bells, help set up the altar
  • Be attentive to any need that might arise
• Grow in their faith
  • Participate in workshops and yearly altar server retreat
  • Get to learn more about what happens during Mass
  • Gain tools to grow in friendship with Jesus and learn about discerning your vocation
• Grow in friendship
  • Enjoy socials with other altar servers

Requirements:

• Open to all boys and girls
• Must have done your first communion
• Come properly dresses on the day of your service

What they do:

• Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Sunday, Holy Day, and Weekday Masses  

Requirements:

• Must have received Confirmation
• Have a clear speaking voice.
• Be comfortable with reading in public.
• Have a love for sacred Scripture. 
• Participate in workshops and retreats

What they do:

• Eucharistic Ministers assist in distributing Holy Communion at Mass

Requirements:

• Ministers should have an understanding of the Eucharist as the True Presence of Jesus Christ.
• Have received the sacraments of Baptism, 1st Communion, and Confirmation
• Paticipate in on-going training and retreat opportunities.

What they do:

• Greeting parishioners and visitors
• Seating them according to current COVID protocols
• Collecting stewardship donations/envelopes
• Dismissing to Communion
• Dismissing at the end of Masses
• Handing out bulletins
