ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL AND
PARISH STEWARDSHIP GIVING?

 

 

ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL (ACA)

•  Occurs in the spring of each year
•  Pledge to the Archdiocese – May to April
•  Supported by Catholics and Parishes across Western Washington
•  The Archdiocese processes donations, sends Monthly reminders, and provides Tax Statements
•  Supports over 60 ministries and services throughout Western Washington

PARISH STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE

•  Occurs in the fall of each year
•  Yearly pledge to our parish – January to December
•  Supported by Parishioners
•  The Parish processes donations, sends envelopes and periodic reminders, provides Tax statement
•  Provides parish ordinary income supporting the work and ministries of our Parish

The Archdiocese encompasses all of Western Washington, stretching from the Canadian to the Oregon border and from the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean.  There are 173 parishes, missions and pastoral centers in the Archdiocese, serving 579,500 registered Catholics.

debit, checking/savings.  Make a one-time gift or set up monthly installments.  Or, set up a ‘pledge only’ with no down payment required — just pay throughout the year.
Pledge Envelopes— We have pledge envelopes in the pews and in the Gathering Space. Envelopes were also mailed to registered homes in the archdiocese.
Matching Gift— Please check with your employer and find out if they match their employee donations.

Vacation Bible School!

Vacation Bible School returns to Holy Spirit Parish
July 17-21, 9-noon each day.
We need volunteers for VBS this summer!
All training and support is provided.

 

 

 

Crew Leaders:  Adults and teens willing to journey with a group of 5 children every morning of VBS.
Environment:  Adults, Teens,  & Families who can transform the HSP Parish Activity Center into a High Seas adventure.  Much of this can be done ahead of time.  Actual set up of VBS will be on Sunday, July 16th.
Theater:  Teens with a flair for the dramatic are needed to put on role plays for our VBS children.  Must be able to speak in front of a group and enjoy dressing up in costume.
Station Helpers:  Adults and Teens with a special interest in Prayer, Art, Games, or Snack.
Technology:  Teens able to assist the VBS director with daily technology needs.  Must be able to attend VBS every morning.
Registration/Check-in & Check-Out: Assist VBS director with preparing Nametags/Passports beforehand and be on site daily to facilitate the check-in and check-out of VBS students.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:  Do you need service hours for graduation?  VBS is a great  opportunity to get those service hours while having fun, building community, and learning about your Catholic Faith!

Want to help out but are unavailable because of work or travel?  Consider giving of your treasure.  HSP keeps the cost to our families low so everyone can participate.  But we still have expenses for food, crafts, t-shirts, etc.  Please consider a small donation of $25 to help defray the costs of VBS.  Simply put your donation in an envelope marked “VBS Donation” and drop it in!
